Loan Monitoring for Quantity Surveyors

The CACQS Loan Monitoring Course is a 4-session, 16-hour program, designed to provide practicing QS professionals a comprehensive understanding related to all aspects of Loan Monitoring. The participant will become familiar with the principles required of the Loan Monitor along with the necessary and optimal steps required to complete a monitoring report that will meet or exceed industry standards. Participants will also be introduced to various metrics and trend analysis opportunities which lead to a greater level of reporting normally required of a Payment Certifier, a level above a Loan Monitor. Ultimately, these skills can be built upon to gain proficiency up to an Independent Certifier, the highest tier of project monitoring performed by a professional Quantity Surveyor.

 

The pricing will be $695 for member firms, and $995 for non-members. 4-hour online sessions 12 noon to 4 pm on successive Tuesdays commencing April 15th (concluding May 6th).

 

Our presenter, Ken King, has more than 48 years of experience as a professional Quantity Surveyor.  Recently retired from Hanscomb Limited, Ken is now a director with Core Two Construction and Property Consultants.  His past positions also includes senior roles with Alberta Infrastructure, the City of Vancouver and the Territory of Nunavut.  As an instructor, Ken has worked with UBC, the University of Alberta, BCIT, Langara College, VCC, Douglas College, CMHC, Business Development Bank of Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada and the Certified General Accountants of British Columbia.
